The Well-being Pension for Older Adults is a well-known right that serves to comprehensively and universally protect Mexican men and women who are over 65 years old and live in indigenous municipalities or the rest of the population over 68 years old.
The program began operating in the country in 2020, following its approval in 2019.

Key requirements to access the Pension for the Well-being of Older Adults
There are various requirements depending on whether the applicant is the older adult to be considered for the benefit or if their family member or caregiver submits the request.
The documents required for registration may include an official ID, proof of address, or even a certification of non-receipt of other pensions.

Elderly applicant:
– Unordered list:
– Birth certificate;
– Valid Identification Document: voter ID card or valid passport or National Institute for Older Adults (INAPAM) ID card or other documents issued by the corresponding authority to verify identity.
Unique Population Registry Key (CURP).
Proof of address (up to 6 months old) or proof of residency from local authority.
Adult Auxiliary Applicants
– Valid ID Document: Voter ID card or valid Passport or National Institute for Older Adults (INAPAM) card or other identity documents issued by the corresponding authority.
– Unique Population Registry Code (CURP).
Proof of residence (up to 6 months old) or proof of residency from local authority.
How do I register to participate?
Below are the steps you need to follow in order to register:

Check if you meet all the requirements;
Fill out the form they will give you there. Provide all the requested information accurately;
Afterwards, you will receive a notification informing you whether you have been accepted or if there is still missing information to be completed;
– If the answer is positive, withdraw your corresponding bank card for the account where your pension will be deposited bimonthly;
Finally, they receive their pension and keep their information updated in the program’s system in case they need to contact them in any situation of change.
