How to Request Support for Children Who Have Lost Their Mothers?
This support program provides financial assistance to children and young people whose mothers have passed away, with the aim of preventing them from stopping studying and starting to work at an early age. This financial aid promotes the well-being of these children, adolescents, and young people.
The Ministry of Well-being in Mexico is the body responsible for taking care of this program and these families. Therefore, in order for you to participate, it is necessary for you to fully understand the main requirements, the necessary documents, and the registration process.

Must be between the ages of 0 and 23 and provide proof that the mother is deceased through the mother’s death certificate or a presumption of death certificate no older than 3 months.
How can I join the program?
The initial step to register is to go to the nearest Wellbeing Service Modules to your place of residence, bringing along all the required documents and prerequisites for registration.
Once you are in the module, you will receive support from the personnel of the Secretariat of Well-being and you will need to complete the Enrollment Application for Modality B of the program.
It is essential to have a guardian present if the beneficiary is a minor. If this individual is not a biological relative, they must prove legal guardianship through documents such as a maintenance expense certificate issued by a competent authority.
Beneficiaries over the age of 18 can submit their application by themselves.

What are the documents?
These are the documents that the person responsible for children orphaned by their mother or the legal guardian of a young adult (up to 23 years old) must submit:

– Official Identification (original and copy): valid voter ID, professional license, valid passport, military service card, immigration form;
– Certified copy of the mother’s death certificate or the presumption of death certificate is also accepted as an equivalent document to the death certificate; this document must not be older than three months from the date of delivery;
– Current birth certificate of each child up to 23 years of age, in maternal orphanhood: original and copy.
Valid Unique Population Registry Code (CURP). This document must belong to the deceased mother, the responsible person, and each of the daughters and sons under maternal orphanhood up to 23 years.
Sign a waiver letter in free format. In this document, the person responsible for managing and making good use of the financial resources that will be provided commits to the well-being of children who have lost their mothers.
