The objective is to facilitate the enjoyment of a home or room for rent or transfer of use to all young people, between 18 and 35 years old, with limited financial means, through direct aid to tenants.

What does the Young Rental 250 euros consist of?

The main characteristics of this benefit are:

  • Available for young people between 18 and 35 years of age;
  • Aimed at any Spanish citizen or other European or third-country citizens who can prove their legal residence in the territory of Spain;
  • The aid is up to a maximum of 250 euros per month and is available for rentals that do not exceed €600 per month;
  • The benefit is exclusive for the payment of housing rental income: It is necessary to present a legal rental contract for the home or the contract for the transfer of rent for a room, both legalized;
  • The rental cost should not exceed 600 euros per month;
  • It is granted for a maximum period of 2 years: This means that the maximum total amount is 6,000 euros, which will be divided into 24 monthly payments of 250 euros each;
  • Proof of a regular source of income is required, which must be less than 3 times the IPREM, that is, 23,725 euros annually or 1,979 euros per month in 12-month payments;
  • It can be supplemented with other government aid or benefits;
  • Can be used for individual or shared rental: You must have a source of income, including that of the people who have the habitual and permanent residence in said home, whether or not they are the holders of the lease or assignment contract equal to or less than 3 times the IPREM;
  • In cases where 2 young people live together, then the income may be equal to or less than 4 times the IPREM;
  • When 3 or more young people live together, they may be equal to or less than 5 times the IPREM.
